Welcome back everyone! It is that time of year again, start dusting off your rule books, because it time for some training! :D
For all NEW Referees
All new referees are required to attend a training seminar. I am holding the class on
Monday July 29th & Wednesday July 31st at the Springboro Community Room (320 W Central Ave, Springboro, OH 45066). Both classes will be from
6pm-8pm.
Feel free to start reviewing the laws of the game using the link below!
-
SAY Online Training - SAY offers a great online training program where you can even take practice quizzes to help you remember the information. Because of limited class time, I tend to just do a basic overview, SAY's program is much more detailed!
- There hasn't been any major rule changes this season, so you can reference the
2021 Referee Training Powerpoint. This is the presentation that I use for the class, once again this is more of a basic overview, but is a good resource to use while studying for the test!
- For those who want to get
REALLY detailed, here is the
2022 SAY Soccer Playing Laws Rulebook. This is going to be super helpful for new referees who want to study before the test! The rules haven't changed sense last year, so the 2022 Rulebook is still valid!
For all RETURNING Referees
The training is not mandatory for you, but you are more than welcome to join! If you choose to not join in on the seminar, I recommend looking over the rules anyway to help refresh your memory for the test! ;D
For ALL Referees
There will be a recertification test that everyone will have to take. The test will be held
August 3rd at Clearcreek Park at 10am. Make sure to wear proper shoes because we will be going over field mechanics before the test. Also make sure you are all up to date on your State Certifications (SafeSport, Concussion, ect...) links to each are included below! Please bring a copy of the completed certificates to the test so I can collect them for my records! [:
As always, feel free to email me at
[email protected] with any questions or concerns!
