Which age group is appropriate for my child? The age is related to the age your son/daughter will be in 2025. Kids will be allowed to tryout for teams one year above their age group if they would like (to stay with classmates etc.)
U14/U15: birth year 2011/2012 --- Tryout TBD week of 18 May 2025
U13: birth year 2013 --- Tryout TBD week of 18 May 2025
U12: birth year 2014 --- Tryout TBD week of 18 May 2025
U11: birth year 2015 --- Tryout TBD week of 18 May 2025
U9/U10: birth year 2016/2017 --- Tryout TBD week of 18 May 2025
When are tryouts? How are tryouts run? Tryouts will be held the week of May 18 2025
When does the season start? Practices will start sometime in early July. Games should start in late August. There will be a minimum of six to eight games, four home and four away, and three tournaments. Away games are in the Cincinnati/Dayton area depending on age group. Some teams may play in two leagues and only have two tournaments
Where/when will practices/training be held? Each team will have two to three practices per week. Coaches may add/remove practices based on game and tournament schedules. Practices and training will be held at Hazel Woods Park. Specific days will be determined after team selections and field availability.
Who will my child play? Regular season games will either be in MVYSA or in the Buckeye league depending on projected skill level of the teams. Tournaments are open select tournaments in the Cincinnati/Dayton area.
How long is the season? Springboro Force is designed for the fall only. It should conclude by the end of October. Teams can optionally play indoor soccer and some teams may play games or tournaments in the spring subject to player and coach availability
How much will it cost? The estimated cost for the Fall 2025 season will be $375 per player which includes registration, games, tournaments, and training sessions. The exact cost may change depending upon the number of teams formed, the number of players, the number of training, etc. Uniforms are separate, but we keep uniforms for multiple seasons
Have coaches been selected? Coaches have not been selected. Coaches are volunteers, but head coaches must be certified at a minimum level with US Soccer. Anyone interested in coaching should contact Eric May for additional information.
My child is interested, but unable to make tryouts. Can he/she have an individual tryout? Individual tryouts are not encouraged as part of your child's score is interaction with other players, but will be considered. In order to facilitate team selections, any individual tryout must be completed before the general tryouts.
